More than 100 women who either worked or were the daughters and relatives of women who worked as welders in the South Portland Shipyards were paid tribute as representatives of the US Postal Service unvieled it's "Rosie the Riveter" stamp at the South Portland Performing Arts Center". Guest speakers included then Congresswoman Susan Collins.
